Casalist ("we", "our", or "us") is a family household management app for iOS. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how it is stored.

Data We Collect

Casalist stores the following data to provide its core functionality:

• Family member names and roles you enter within the app
• Tasks, chores, grocery items, reminders, and events you create
• Points, rewards, and goal data
• Optional location data when you enable location-based reminders or family location sharing (stored only in your private iCloud container)
• Photos attached to reminders (stored locally on your device only — not synced)

How Your Data Is Stored

All app data is stored in your private iCloud container using Apple's CloudKit. This means:

• Your data is stored in your iCloud account and governed by Apple's privacy policy
• We do not have access to your data
• Data shared with family members is synced through Apple's iCloud sharing infrastructure
• We do not operate any external servers or databases

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect analytics or usage data
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties
• We do not use advertising SDKs
• We do not collect your email address or create accounts on our servers

Notifications

Casalist uses Apple's local notification system to deliver reminders and alerts. Notification permissions are requested in-app and can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings.

Location

Location access is optional and only used for location-based reminders and the family location sharing feature. Location data is stored in your private iCloud container and is never sent to our servers.

Children

Casalist is designed to be used by families including children under parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children independently of their family's shared household data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
